Two men arrested after stealing a watch at gunpoint in Downtown Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Two men from Iowa are facing felony charges in Fargo after allegedly taking someone’s watch at gunpoint on September 17th.

According to court documents, Fargo police were called to 520 Main Avenue shortly after 10:30 P.M. for a report of a robbery. When they arrived on scene, the victim reported that he had been robbed at gunpoint by David Taylor and Rodney Riggins, both from Urbandale, Iowa.

The victim said he was attempting to sell them a Cartier Santos watch for $1,900 when Taylor reportedly pulled a gun out from the front of his waistband.

The two fled the scene but were later located in Island Park. The firearm was recovered, but officers were not able to find the watch.

Taylor is now being charged with robbery with a firearm and hindering after he allegedly gave police a fake name and birth date multiple times during the arrest.

Riggins was placed under arrest for being an accomplice to robbery with a firearm.

We have reached out to Cass County Jail for mugshots of both men, but David Taylor’s was not currently available.
