UND professor, Minnesota mayor arrested in prostitution sting

CROOKSTON, MN — A University of North Dakota professor is facing charges after being arrested in an undercover prostitution sting.

Qianli Chu, listed as a professor of chemistry at UND, responded to an online ad for a woman “looking for company.” According to police, Chu arranged to meet the girl he believed was 16-years-old. Turns out, Chu was chatting with undercover police and was arrested when he was met by officers at an address in Crookston, Minnesota.

Also arrested in the same sting, Solway, Minnesota Mayor Robert Coulter.
