BISMARCK, ND – The University of North Dakota’s Energy and Environmental Research Center is receiving funding for a new project.
The funding was awarded by the North Dakota Industrial Commission Thursday through the Commission’s Lignite Research, Development and Marketing Program. A total of $2.9 million in grants were awarded to two different projects.
The UND project is for the development of next-generation carbon capture technologies for efficiency improvement and cost reductions. The total amount awarded to the EERC is $1.4 million.
