FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) -A video obtained by Valley News Live appears to show the attack of a Fargo Police Officer by a juvenile suspect.
In the video sent into our newsroom by a viewer, which was taken from a home near the scene, you can see the female police officer trying to talk to the suspect as he’s walking away.
As she gets closer to the suspect, she appears to grab his arm. That’s when he begins to throw multiple punches towards the officers head and grab her, knocking her hat off in the process. An unnamed man at the scene then pulls the suspect off and takes him to the ground. The officer goes in to separate those two as more men arrive on the scene.
We obscured the face of the suspect since he is a minor.
We had confirmed that this incident took place with the Fargo Police Department on June 2. At this time, no further details have been provided on what led to the altercation. We requested an interview with Chief David Zibolski about this incident, but were denied.
