FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Fargo will not get a waterpark after all.
In March, Valley News Live reported the foundation permit had expired and no work had been done in several months.
Now, plans for redevelopment have been submitted to the Fargo Planning Commission.
That includes a commercial building and five residential use buildings.
This comes after trouble with the previous developer, West Fargo’s EPIC Companies, including an abrupt closure, bankruptcy filings and lawsuits starting in May 2024.
The Wave Waterpark would have been a first of its kind for the region. A soft opening date was slated for Dec. 2025. All plans were finalized for construction to start on the $73 million project, which included a hotel, restaurant and family entertainment center.
Fargo City Commissioners will consider the new plan.
