(WEST FARGO, ND) – A report from the West Fargo Police Department shows a decrease in overall crime in 2024.
Chief Pete Nielsen presented his department’s annual report Monday to the West Fargo City Commission.
In 2024, there was a six percent decrease in overall crime compared to 2023, with a 16 percent decrease in Crimes Against Persons and an 18 percent decrease in Crimes Against Property. Despite the decrease in overall crime, the department saw over 32,000 calls for service, a 15 percent increase since 2021.
Nielsen said the department ‘continues to meet the changing needs of the community.’
