FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Dispatch was called to the downtown Fargo Library around 1 pm on July 28 after a report of a robbery.
Officers arrived on scene to the caller explaining a man had his bicycle stolen from him north of the library near a grass area.
Officers located the victim walking out of the Engagement Center where he confirmed he was robbed of his green bicycle near the library by a group including a woman with a knife.
The victim stated that the woman pulled out a knife, held it by her side, and demanded the bicycle. The bike was given up, and the victim told authorities that they rode towards Broadway.
Around 2:22 pm, police was informed that there was a woman riding a bike and pulling a green one along with her near Broadway Square. An officer pulled up to the scene to try to make contact with the woman, but she continued to ride slowly.
The woman then dropped the green bike after she rounded a corner near the Radisson Blu hotel where police would catch up and stop her.
She identified as Tiffany Morin claiming she didn’t hear officers when she was called, but got the green bike from someone named “Montana” by the Empire.
Morin stated she was holding drug paraphernalia as well as a folding knife in a small bag.
Documents say when officers told Morin she matched the description of the suspect, she changed the story and said she was at the library around noon, but insisted she didn’t rob anyone.
As police placed her in the back of the squad car, the victim walked to officers to confirm that the green bicycle was his and Morin was the woman who held him at knife point. The victim got his bike back and left the scene.
Morin was placed under arrest for robbery, her four warrants, and possession of schedule 1,2,3 paraphernalia (2nd offense).
