FARGO, ND — One person was stabbed and a suspect arrested in Fargo.
Fargo Police say the incident happened before 10 a.m. in the 1300 block of 3rd Avenue North. Sergeant Michael Anderson said officers located an adult victim suffering from a stab wound to the neck.
They engaged in a comprehensive canvass of the area and utilized surveillance footage to quickly identify the suspect as 35 year-old Jessica McCroskey of Fargo.
The preliminary investigation indicates the victim and suspect were not known to each other. The victim encountered McCroskey walking on his property and confronted her, at which point McCroskey immediately stabbed the victim and fled the area on foot. The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local medical facility for treatment.
McCroskey was located shortly thereafter and taken into custody without incident. She has been arrested on charges of Aggravated Assault and Attempted Murder.
