FARGO, N.D. – A woman who pleaded guilty to charges surrounding having a sexual relationship with a Fargo teen was sentenced to 3 years in prison.
Thirty-year-old Melanie Vahary pleaded guilty to felony promoting a sexual performance by a minor and corruption of a minor charges.
The 16-year-old boy’s guardian became aware of the relationship between the child and Vahary in 2023 after finding videos and photos of a sexual nature.
Vahary asked the boy to delete any evidence of their relationship before packing up her children and running off to Texas before she was arrested.
