Zibolski says crime rates are down in Fargo through November

FARGO, N.D. – Crime is down in Fargo.

According to our partners at Valley News Live, serious crime dropped 10% in Fargo through November, with shootings down 44% and burglaries declining 29%, according to new statistics released by the Fargo Police Department.

The city recorded 10,609 Group A offenses year-to-date, down from 11,848 in 2024, a decrease of 1,239 incidents. Police Chief David Zibolski credited new technology and proactive policing for the improvements.

“We really enhanced our technology; the advancement of the Real-Time Crime Center has been very significant in our downtown area and other areas, as well as our Flock Camera System,” Zibolski said. “Over the last two years that technology has really come on board.”
