Walmart Giving 425K Employees A Raise

(Bentonville, AR) -- Walmart is giving nearly a third of its work force a raise.  

The company announced it would raise wages for 425-thousand of its nearly one-and-a-half million employees.

Company leaders say the raises would go to frontline associates who drive the customer experience. The increase takes effect on March 13th and would raise wages in digital and stocking workgroups to a range of 13- to-19 dollars an hour, depending on location.  

Walmart is the nation's largest private employer.
