White House Working With Congressional Leaders On Joint Session Address

(Washington, DC)  --  Plans are ongoing to set a date for a presidential address to a joint session of Congress.  White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki [[ SAH-kee ]] mentioned the plans during her daily briefing.  She did not give a date but said she can't wait to "finally announce this," as media members keep pressing her about it.  There have been rumors the address might happen near the end of President Biden's first 100 days in office.  That would be in late April.  A President's first address to a joint session of Congress normally happens in late January or February, but was put off this year to get the COVID-19 relief package through.
