(Washington, DC) -- Thousands of families will likely have to switch up their summer travel plans.
That's because it could take months for people to get their hands on a new passport. The State Department says it's up to 18 weeks now due to slower mail times and more people traveling.
Many are so desperate, they're turning to a Facebook group to buy or trade in-person appointments, with some reportedly being sold for up to 300-dollars.
