Harvey Weinstein Extradited To California To Face Additional Sex Charges

(Alden, NY) -- Disgraced movie producer and convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein is being extradited to California to face additional sex crimes charges.

Already serving a 23-year prison sentence in Upstate New York, the Department of Corrections reports they handed Weinstein over to California officials early Tuesday morning.

The move follows a protracted court battle, and sets the stage for a new trial in Los Angeles.

Prosecutors argue Weinstein sexually assaulted five women between 2004 and 2013, in both L.A. and Beverly Hills.
