(Chicago, IL) -- Soccer legend Carli Lloyd is retiring.

She says she's looking forward to the next chapter of her life without the grind of training and playing.

The 39-year-old appeared in 312 games for the U.S. Womens National Team while scoring 128 goals. She has two Olympic gold medals and two World Cup titles.

But, she's not quite done yet. Lloyd will play four friendly matches in the fall and then finish her season with New Jersey-New York Gotham FC.
