(Washington, DC) -- Get ready to see a whole lot of pink.
Friday begins Breast Cancer Awareness Month, when people all over the world show their support for those affected. Every year, about 255-thousand women get breast cancer and 42-thousand die from it. Experts say nearly 13-percent of women will be diagnosed with the disease at some point in their life.
They recommend early screening, which can increase the survival rate.
