(Menlo Park, CA) -- Facebook is back up and running after being down for six hours Monday.
The social media giant apologized for the global outage, blaming configuration changes to its routers. Thousands of users reported the site wouldn't even load, while Instagram and WhatsApp did but wouldn't show new content or send messages.
The outage left millions turning to Twitter with that official account tweeting "Hello literally everyone."
