(Sacramento, CA) -- Some parents in California are planning a walkout today over COVID vaccine mandates.
They plan to keep their kids home in protest, saying the decision should be up to them. The state is the first in the nation to require students in seventh grade and above get vaccinated by next fall.
Those who aren't won't be allowed in class. Younger kids will be added to the list once the vaccine is approved for them.
