Hollywood Strike Averted After New Contract Deal

(Los Angeles, CA) -- The shows will go on in Hollywood.

About 60-thousand production workers aren't walking off the job Monday thanks to a new contract. Their union avoided a strike by reaching an agreement over the weekend with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.

It includes a boost in pay, meal breaks, and more rest time between shifts. The workers still must vote to approve the deal.
