(Washington, D.C.) -- The Air Force is down 27 active-duty service members.

They were booted for refusing to get the COVID vaccine last month. A spokesperson says they're likely the first troops to be discharged from the military for refusing to comply with the mandate. Each branch of service set its own deadlines.

For the Navy and Marines, it was two weeks ago. Their Reserve members have until after Christmas. Soldiers in the Army have until Wednesday.
