(Kyiv) -- Ukraine is now demanding an urgent meeting with Russia over the more than 100-thousand troops on its borders.

A Ukrainian official said Russia ignored a formal request to explain why it increased the number to 130-thousand soldiers, surrounding Ukraine on three sides. Germany's chancellor is in Ukraine Monday to meet with the President.

He'll then travel to Moscow to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in an effort to prevent an invasion.
