Coast Guard calls off search for missing plane passengers off NC coast

(Beaufort, NC) -- The Coast Guard is suspending its search for seven passengers who went missing after a small plane crashed off the North Carolina coast.  

Eight people were on board the plane that crashed Sunday off North Carolina's Outer Banks, including four teenagers. Only one body has been found so far.  

The Coast Guard said Tuesday night it would continue to work with local authorities on "recovery operations."
