(Plano, TX) -- Cinemark's CEO is hailing the fourth quarter of last year as "exceptional."

Sean Gamble made that claim following the release of the company's earnings report. The movie theater chain posted revenue of nearly 667-million dollars. That's a 579-percent increase from the fourth quarter of 2020.

Just over 48-million people went to see a movie in the final three months of 2021. The average ticket price during that time was just over seven-dollars.
