(Washington, DC) -- President Biden has announced his Supreme Court nominee.

Multiple reports say the President made his decision on Thursday and will offer the seat to U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson Friday morning. Jackson was considered to be the front runner all along in the process to fill the upcoming vacancy in the court.

The seat on the nation's highest court was made available when Justice Stephen Breyer announced he would be retiring.

Jackson would be the first ever black woman to sit on the court if confirmed.
