(Trenton, NJ) -- People in New Jersey can start buying marijuana next week.

Thirteen current medical marijuana dispensaries were just approved to begin selling it for personal use on Thursday. Governor Phil Murphy tweeted "This is a historic step."  It's taken more than a year to legalize marijuana since being voted on back in November of 2020.

Political leaders say they're bracing for the expected crowds and increased traffic.
