(Washington, DC) -- The nation's economy added 372-thousand jobs last month.

Labor Department figures out Friday morning also show the unemployment rate remained at a near half-century low of three-point-six percent.

The jobless rate has been at three-point-six percent four months in a row.

Economists projected a slowdown in job creation, original forecasting 300-thousand new jobs last month. The 372-thousand is still down from the 390-thousand created in May.
