White House pushing to maintain abortion access

(Washington, DC)  --  The White House is working to maintain access to abortion as Republicans pitch a 15-week abortion ban.  Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said President Biden and Vice President Harris are doing all they can to protect patients seeking abortions or traveling to find services by taking executive action early on.  She added the administration is encouraging Congress to codify, or put into law, Roe v. Wade.  It was overturned in June by the U.S. Supreme Court.
