(Fremont, CA) -- Elon Musk says Twitter has "incredible potential."
The CEO of Tesla addressed shareholders in an earnings call on Wednesday, and spoke about his pending acquisition of the social media company.
The multi-billionaire is expected to sell a large portion of his own Tesla shares to help pay for the 44-billion-dollar deal.
He called Twitter "an asset that has sort of languished for a long time but has incredible potential," and said the long-term potential for Twitter is "an order of magnitude greater than its current value."
