WH: Americans should feel safe going to the polls

(Washington, DC)  --  The White House says Americans should have confidence in the nation's election system as the midterms are just a day away.  Speaking to reporters, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the Biden administration has kept taking actions to counter foreign interference in U.S. elections.  That comes after a Russian oligarch with ties to Vladimir Putin admitted to interfering in U.S. elections and said he would continue to do so in the future.  Jean-Pierre said it's not surprising Russia would highlight their efforts on the eve of an election, but added the Biden administration has used sanctions and other measures to prevent interference.

On the potential threat of political violence, Jean-Pierre said there have been no credible threats at this point and the administration has been working alongside election officials to keep people safe.
