Private payrolls jump by 235,000 in December

(Roseland, NJ) -- Last year finished with a bang when it came to job growth.

That's according to ADP which says private payrolls increased by 235-thousand in December.

Analysts were looking for job growth of 153-thousand.

ADP's chief economist said "the labor market is strong, but fragmented."
