(Washington, DC) -- Former Trump economic advisor Gary Cohn says he doesn't expect a recession in the first half of 2023.

Appearing on CBS' Face the Nation, the current IBM vice chairman said that the U.S. is in "pretty good shape" and there's evidence that record-high inflation is starting to ease.

He pointed to the addition of over 500-thousand jobs in January, as well as the lowest unemployment rate the country has seen since 1969 at three-point-four-percent.
