California is leading state for UFO sightings since 2001

(Los Angeles, CA) -- California has more reported UFO sightings than any other state since 2001. That's according to research analysis conducted by BonusFinder.com.

The website analyzed data from the National UFO Reporting Center's State Report Index.

California has 15-thousand-480 officially reported UFO sightings since 2001. The sightings last an average of 13 minutes each. But, Mount Shasta's 20 reported sightings lasted an average of 51 minutes each, the longest of any location in the state.

Los Angeles is the state's leading UFO hot spot, with nearly 600 reported sightings. Most reports involve people seeing circles, spheres or triangular shapes in the sky.
