(East Palestine, OH) -- The EPA is giving the green light to resume shipping contaminated soil and liquid from the site of a toxic train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio.
The train operator, Norfolk Southern had temporarily stopped the shipments so the EPA could review the company's plan.
Some of the liquid waste is headed to another Ohio site for disposal in an underground injection well. Other contaminated materials will be incinerated.
Other waste has been sent to Michigan and Texas, sparking complaints from officials that no one told them about the plan.
