New App allows families to talk to deceased

(New York, NY) -- Opinions are mixed over a new interactive app that reportedly allows mourners to "talk" to the dead.

"HereAfter A-I" creates digital replicas of the voice and personality of deceased loved ones.

Orthodox Catholic philosopher Joe Vukov says having a way to "keep people around who we've lost" is well-intentioned. But he also cautioned that people are more than "just this abstract intelligence."

A video of a woman "meeting" a simulation of her deceased mother has gone viral with more than 30-million views on YouTube.
