Americans test positive after workplace accident at highest rate In 25 years

(Secaucus, NJ)  --  More Americans are testing positive for marijuana after workplace accidents than ever in 25 years.

A report from Quest Diagnostics shows that seven-point-three percent of workers tested positive after being part of an accident at work in 2022.

That's up from six-point-seven percent in 2021, the highest since 1997.

General manager and vice president for employer solutions at Quest, Keith Ward, said that the new data could be a result of changing perceptions of marijuana possibly putting colleagues at risk.
