(Phoenix, AZ) -- Over 42-million Americans are under heat warnings this week.
Extreme heat is already hitting the Southwest in states including California and Arizona and the dangerous conditions are only expected to get worse.
The National Weather Service warns Phoenix residents to be ready for temperatures soaring into the triple-digits.
Parts of Texas and Florida are also feeling the heat blast this week, and could also see record temperatures.
