U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs extends PACT Act benefits deadline to August 14th

(Washington, D.C.) -- The Department of Veteran Affairs is extending the deadline for veterans seeking healthcaer and benefits associated with exposure to toxic materials.

Veterans now have until 11:50 p.m ET on Monday, August 14th, 2023 to file PACT Act claims, or declare your intent to file, to be able to receive benefits which are backdated to August 10th, 2022. Veterans of the Vietnam, Gulf War and post 9/11 conflicts are eligible for assistance. The PACT Act expands healthcare and benefits for veterans who were exposed to specific toxic substances, including Agent Orange. 

The previous deadline to apply was August 9th, 2023.
