(Washington, DC) — A Minnesota Congressman is speaking out following the sexual assault of young girls in a Bemidji home.
Pete Stauber sent a letter to US Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas Thursday, expressing his “concern and outrage over the recent events in Bemidji, Minnesota.”
In his letter, he describes news stories and police reports that “highlight the deplorable consequences of the Biden Administration’s recklessly lax border and failing immigration policies.”
Stauber calls for immediate action from the US Department of Homeland Security, along with answers to questions he and the community he represents have regarding the inccident.
“It is your duty to fully protect all citizens from this ongoing onslaught of illegal immigrant criminal activity,” he said in the letter. “Which is a direct result of your failure to secure our border and fully track illegal immigrants and their whereabouts.”
Stauber is a retired law enforcement officer, representing Minnesota’s 8th District in the United States House of Representatives.
