American toddler among hostages held by Hamas

(Washington, DC)  --  The White House says an American toddler is among the hostages being held by Hamas in Gaza.

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan told reporters a three-year-old U.S. citizen whose parents were killed by the militant group during the October 7th attacks in Israel is believed to be among the more than 200 hostages.

Sullivan said securing the release of all hostages is a "paramount priority" for President Biden.

A small number of hostages have been released so far since the start of the war last month.
