Biden set to meet Xi in San Francisco

(Washington, DC)  --  President Biden will meet face-to-face with Chinese President Xi Jinping in San Francisco Wednesday.

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan told reporters Monday the two leaders will discuss some of the most "fundamental elements" in the relationship between Washington and Beijing.

The U.S. is hoping to resume military communications that were broken off after Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan last year.

The leaders are also expected to discuss the Israel-Hamas war, Russia's war against Ukraine and the fentanyl epidemic.
