Economist John Lott Jr. expresses concerns with "ballot harvesting"

(Fargo, ND) -- Economist and political commentator John Lott Jr. says he expects election integrity across the country to be "mixed" during the 2024 election.

"You have some states which have moved towards having voter IDs and other protections but you have other states that have moved to mail-in ballots," said Lott.

Lott says other states are also allowing ballot harvesting, which he calls "very problematic".

The economist also says overall, the United states has "much looser voting rules" compared to most other countries around the world.
