(Madison, WI)  --  President Biden will be in Wisconsin today to announce a new Student Loan Forgiveness Program.

The planned announcement comes after the Supreme Court stopped his previous attempt at a student debt program almost a year ago. The Wall Street journal says the new plan will be regulated through the Higher Education Act of 1965.

"Today, Biden-Harris Administration leaders will fan out across the country as President Biden announces his Administration’s new plans to cancel student debt for tens of millions of Americans," wrote the White House press team in a release this morning. "The plans, if implemented, would provide debt relief to over 30 million Americans when combined with actions the Biden-Harris Administration has already taken to cancel student debt over the past three years. While Republican elected officials try every which way to block millions of their own constituents from receiving student debt cancellation, President Biden has vowed to use every tool available to cancel student debt for as many borrowers as possible, as quickly as possible."
