(WDAY Radio) — Cities across the FM Metro are getting ready for the beginning of cleanup week.
City officials encourage participants to follow the following guidelines.
- Separate items into distinct piles. Multiple trucks will collect the separated items to ensure they are being disposed of properly.
- Besides oversized items, officials encourage you to place the items in disposable containers if possible.
- Place the items out no more than one day before your scheduled pickup day. Crews will not return to pickup garbage set out too late.
- Do not place food or other waste inside appliances. Crews also urge residents to remove refrigerator and freezer doors.
- No commercial waste will be accepted. The items must be from residences.
