Blue Bunny recalls some 18,000 tubs of ice cream

LE MARS, Iowa – Thousands of tubs of ice cream are being recalled.

Wells Enterprises, the makers of Blue Bunny ice cream, is voluntarily pulling 22 different flavors sold in 3-gallon tubs because of concerns they’re contaminated with plastic.

Overall, the FDA’s recall list covers more than 18,000 Blue Bunny, Halo Top and Bomb Pop ice cream and frozen yogurt products.

The affected products have “best if used by” dates ranging from March to October 2026.
