ST. PAUL, MN — The brother of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz says he’s done commenting on politics after the publication of some of his Facebook posts.
Jeff Walz reportedly posted last Friday that he is totally opposed to his brother’s political views and that his brother “is not the type of character you want making decisions about your future.” Walz clarified those comments in an interview with NewsNation, saying it wasn’t his intent to do anything “to influence the general public.”
The registered Republican said he shouldn’t have used social media to make a point about his own political views. He also said he wouldn’t be campaigning for any candidates ahead of the November election.
