(WASHINGTON, DC) – More than a month after introducing the legislation, Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak says the Senate has passed legislation repealing a Biden Administration rule classifying certain industrial facilities as sources of hazardous air pollutants.
“I applaud the Senate for passing this resolution and thank Senator John Curtis for his leadership. I look forward to having this commonsense solution up for a vote in the House so we can send it to President Trump’s desk as soon as possible,” Fedorchak said.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized the rule in September 2024, reversing a Trump-era policy that allowed facilities to reclassify and reduce compliance costs.
