(WASHINGTON, DC) – A bill that would allow remote online notarizations nationwide has been introduced by North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer.
The bill, a bipartisan act, would permit the use of Remote Online Notarizations (RON) nationwide, enabling the process to be completed between notaries and signers in different physical locations.
The SECURE Notarization Act will complement state regulations, including those in North Dakota, which already allow for remote notarizations. The SECURE Act stands for the Securing and Enabling Commerce Using Remote and Electronic Notarization Act.
