ST. PAUL, MN — Suburban Minnesota Congressman Dean Philips says he isn’t looking for someone to say he was right after President Biden dropped out of the presidential race.
The veteran lawmaker ran a long-shot primary campaign with a focus on the president’s age as a concern. Phillips said he’s not looking for vindication or I-told-you-sos or apologies. He is not running for a fourth term in Congress and has been publicly speaking well of Vice President Kamala Harris. But has stopped short of giving her a full endorsement.
Phillips says that he wants to see Harris and three other candidates hold four town hall meetings across the nation.
