WASHINGTON – Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar is reacting to the letter sent to her and Senator Tina Smith from the Republican members of the Minnesota Congressional delegation.
“We must work together to reopen the government and prevent premiums from skyrocketing,” Klobuchar said in a statement to Flag Family News. “My Republican colleagues need to come back to work and negotiate a compromise that brings down the cost of health care for Americans.”
On Thursday, Senators left Washington, D.C., without a deal to end the government shutdown, which means it’ll reach the two-week mark. Bills from both Republicans and Democrats were denied Thursday.
Tuesday will mark two weeks the government has been shutdown.
