(Bismarck, ND) -- A bill that would legalize recreational marijuana in North Dakota ran into a stalemate yesterday in a Senate panel. The Senate Human Services Committee was unable to break the stalemate over the proposal to legalize marijuana for anyone 21 years of age and older. As a result, the committee sent the bill on to the appropriations committee without a recommendation. The bill then goes on to the full Senate for consideration. Senate leaders say they feel the measure has enough support to pass the chamber.
